Set of Four Mid-Century walnut dining chairs – two captains and two sides – in the style of Jens Risom (ca. 1950s, USA). The set retains the attractive plaid tweed upholstery, though the foam is a little uneven in places from use and age (particularly prominent in the back of the headrests where the foam is slightly protrusive). Walnut has been refinished and the upholstery with foam are usable, as is.

Sculptural set of six ladder-back dining chairs composed of a carved walnut frame with five-slat constructed backrest and woven rush seat (ca. 1950s, Italy).
Organic form, minimalist in design but boasting crisp lines, which present well from all angles.
Structurally sound and in very good, refinished condition with only light wear to the walnut, as shown.
Retains the care instructions label marked “Printed in Italy” on the underside.

Set of Six W.H. Gunlocke Sculptural Walnut Armchairs

Set of six American modern walnut armchairs manufactured by the W.H. Gunlocke Chair Company of Wayland, New York in the late 1960s. Composed of solid sculpted walnut frames with spindle construction to the underside serving as additional storage or as a book / magazine rack. The seats have been reupholstered in a luxe golden velvet fabric with all new foam. Can be used as conference, desk, accent, or dining chairs.

Set of six walnut dining chairs (Model no. 6260) designed in 1952 by Greta Magnusson Grossman for Glenn of California. Iconic chairs which earned the Good Design award from the Museum of Modern Art (New York).
Newly refinished and reupholstered in leather, though some imperfections to the leather remain (scuffs, a few spots and scratches, as shown) along with light wear to the walnut.

Set of Six Walnut Dining Chairs by Jens Risom

This set of early Jens Risom dining chairs, designed for his eponymous manufacturing firm, includes four side chairs and two captain’s chairs. The sculptural walnut frames boast elegant lines and a rich walnut tone. The tweed upholstery is new, as is the foam, and the frames have been restored.

Circa 1950s terracotta and porcelain enamel decorative tiles depicting soldiers in traditional uniform. Hand made and decorated with vibrant pops of color, framed in walnut with brackets for wall-mounting.
“Hand Made – Made in Italy” along with the model number stamped on verso.
Crazing present (intentional from kiln firing) and light wear consistent with age present. Overall, fine, vintage condition.

Set of Twelve Vintage Italian Modern Walnut Dining Chairs by Vittorio Dassi

Set of twelve Vittorio Dassi dining chairs (ca. 1950s, Italy). Composed of deeply sculpted Italian walnut frames with tapered legs, the back two angled slightly.
Though Dassi designed a few versions of this dining chair, the signature characteristic is the backrest, which is supported by four wooden shims/connectors creating a floating-like appearance and enhancing the elegant airiness of the design.
Luxurious chairs, uncommon as a set of twelve, newly reupholstered in an oatmeal Kravet bouclé (36114-106). The foam has additionally been replaced, and the walnut frames been newly refinished and show only minor wear.

Seymour J. Wiener for Kodawood of Miami, Florida sculptural walnut lounge chair with original black vinyl, circa 1960s.
Organic form with a deeply sculpted walnut-veneered back rest with a floating, elevated seat. Sleek lines and modernist form with luxe details like solid brass brackets, which mount the back legs to the headrest.
Walnut has been refinished; only minor edge wear remains; vinyl is in very nice, original condition.

Small Mid Century German Modern Walnut Tripod Side Table

1950s German Modern small table composed of solid walnut tapered legs in a tripod configuration and a pale gray patterned laminate ‘guitar pick’ top with gold and black banding. Note that this table is quite small and intended for displaying small plants / accessories.
Very minor wear wear to the surface and legs; overall good, vintage shape.

T.H. Robsjohn-Gibbings ‘Ming’ Walnut Cabinet

Exquisite and uncommon walnut three door-cabinet with oversized surface and sculptural, tapered legs designed by Robsjohn-Gibbings for Widdicomb in the 1950s. The left and right cabinet doors open to reveal adjustable shelves (one / side), and the middle section contains four drawers with dividers in the top two. Beautifully restored to its original walnut finish, this piece is in excellent condition with one notable veneer fill to the back left side corner (photographed). Includes original key, which locks and unlocks all three doors. Manufacturer’s decal present in one of the drawers.

T.H. Robsjohn-Gibbings for Widdicomb Walnut “Bowtie” Coffee Table

Mid-Century American Modern coffee table designed by T.H. Robsjohn-Gibbings for Widdicomb (ca. 1950s, USA). Composed of two solid walnut plinth bases supporting a ‘bowtie’ surface. Aesthetically pleasing with its organic form and lustrous walnut grain, while remaining durable and sturdy. Opposing, vertical grain employed in the border adds a nice visual and textural contrast to the surface.
Conservatively refinished condition; only light, minimal edge and surface wear remain.
