Italian Modernist Sculptural Walnut, Brass and Glass Magazine Rack / Stand
$1,800.00Architectural two-tiered magazine/book/periodical stand/rack/table (ca. 1950s, Italy).
Composed of a deeply sculpted Italian Walnut frame supporting tubular brass rails with exposed brass hardware for draping or supporting magazines/newspapers and four panes of tempered glass, each set of two coming together to form right angles for surface and back support of displayed items .
The top glass surface is only 13.5″ L x 3″ D and the bottom is 13.5″ L x 4″ D, so the glass surfaces themselves are somewhat limited to supporting smaller items without spillover (note the gap between the glass and brass rails).
Handsome, sophisticated piece in very good, refinished condition, though light wear remains to the newly polished brass (patina/tarnish).

Italian Valet by Fratelli Reguitti in the Style of Ico Parisi
This walnut valet on four caster wheels was designed by Fratelli Reguitti in the 1950s, in the style of Ico Parisi. The hanger is branded with the FR initials.
The piece itself is composed of a walnut frame/hanger and change or cufflink holder. There is a double rack on the bottom for shoes and four caster wheels for easy mobility. The top bar (intended for hanging scarves, ties, or pants) can be extended 1.5″ in either direction by pulling out the brass rod.
There is tarnish to the brass, as pictured. The walnut has been refinished and is in excellent shape.

Italian Walnut and Brass Valet by Fratelli Reguitti in the Style of Ico Parisi
This Italian valet was designed by Fratelli Reguitti in the 1950s. Unique example with two-segment construction composed of a frame/hanger and change or cufflink holder with a separate front section with bar intended for hanging scarves, ties, or pants. All supported by a double rack on the bottom for shoes and four caster wheels for easy mobility.
There is slight adjustability to the bar (less than 0.5″ in either direction).
Walnut is in nice, newly refinished condition with light wear to the bar and paint loss to the orb caps. Brass shows only minor wear.
Branded “FR Made in Italy Brevettato (patented).”

Bar extends from 15″ – 16″ (subtle adjustability).

Jens Risom Floating Sofa in Walnut with Original Tweed Upholstery
Handsome three-seat sofa designed by Jens Risom for Risom Design in the 1950s. Clean, sharp lines with a decorative button-tufted back detail. Sofa is supported by a sculptural walnut base. The plaid tweed upholstery in an attractive weave of navy, light blue, beige, moss green, bronze, light blue is original; cushions have been re-foamed, and the frame has been refinished. Excellent, vintage condition.
Measures: H 29.5″ x L 77″ x D 28.75″ x arm height 21.5″ x seat height 18″.

Three-seat sofa, Model #U250, designed by Jens Risom for Risom Design in the 1950s.
Composed of a sculptural walnut base on which the tufted, high-back seat is mounted. Pink mohair and foam are new; frame has been refinished.

Charcoal wool is original and presents well, despite a few snags, as shown. Foam is in need of replacement.
Walnut has been refinished; light wear remains.

Jens Risom Walnut Credenza / Cabinet on Ebonized Plinth Base with Key

Very nice, refinished condition but wear remains (most notably, few surface spots of wear to the right side and a slight tonal variation between some of the drawers, due to the nature of the veneer).

John Stuart Bookmatched Walnut Credenza
Regal credenza from John Stuart featuring bookmatched walnut doors and patinated brass pulls. Three sets of doors open to reveal a single, stationary shelf on either side and three drawers in the middle. There are four removable inserts in the top drawer. Retains the John Stuart medallion.
Beautiful lines and detail.
The depth with the doors open is 29.5″.

Excellent, vintage condition (what appears to be dark streaks on two sides of the base are actually original to the glaze).
The piece is unsigned (these walnut base lamps were never signed) but retains the Marshall Studios label on the underside.
