Early to mid-20th century hand-carved and painted ‘knife’ trade sign (circa 1960s-1970s) representing ‘Kulin Cutlery.’ Measures: 45″ L (ink pen in the second photo is used to illustrate scale). Light wear / patina to the front (scratches, general wear, minor loss to the underside) and heavier wear (mostly grime / soiling from being hung) to the reverse side. Retains the original paint.
The height of the blade alone: 3.75″
The height when wall-mounted including wire: 13″.

Folk Art painter, Dolores Hackenberger (American, b. 1930 – ) was fondly referred to as “the Pennsylvania Dutch Country Grandma Moses.” In her many decades living among the Amish in Southeastern Pennsylvania, she paid tribute to her neighbors and the Amish culture at large by painting portraits depicting their daily life and traditions.
This oil on canvas (ca. 1970s) is a charming depiction of a pastoral scene with children playing. Masterful work of folk art, rich in both color and spirit.

Folk Art metal box with hand-hammered and applied red and black cut-out decoration secured by nailhead trim. All mechanisms are intact, and box opens easily by releasing three latches. Part of the interior lining is missing and one piece is separating. However, this does not effect the functionality. Nice age / patina and minor loss, as indicated in the images.
