1930s Folk Art Carved and Hand-Painted Seal Sculpture

This circa 1930s small, hand-carved / hand-painted seal is simple in form and design but shows lovely detail, from the carved ball on its nose to the painted details of its face. Paint is all original, and the green of the base and red of the ball add nice pops of color to the dark brown and white seal itself. Nice folk art decorative object with good age. (Pen is used to illustrate scale.)
Light wear consistent with age and nice, natural patina. Overall, very good, vintage condition.

1930s Folk Art Painted Wood Decorative Hallway / Shave Mirror and Petite Wall-Mounted Shelves

Circa 1930s folk art wooden shave / hallway mirror with corresponding shelves for small accessories (comes as a set of three). Features original black and maroon paint. Shelves are small – L: 7″ x H: 11″ x D: 3.75″, and mirror measures: L 13.75″ x D: 5.25″ x H: 20.75″.

Nice, vintage condition with general wear to the wood and glass (couple of breaks to mirror itself and overall cloudy appearance). One bottom piece of one of the shelves is gone.

1940s American Folk Art Woodsman / Lumberjack Whirligig

Whimsical whirligig depicting a woodsman sawing a log mounted to a black painted metal stem / base. Hand carved, painted, and assembled with applied facial details. When manually turned, the propeller activates the woodman’s ‘sawing’ motion. The green platform has a full 360 degree swiveling rotation capability.
All original paint and hardware. Fine, vintage condition showing light wear commensurate with age and use (namely a split in in the propeller).
Measures: 29.5” long x 25” high x 19″ deep.

1940s Chartreuse Slipper Chair

This adorable slipper chair retains its original chartreuse / pear fabric and springs and is in the style of the Danish designer, Flemming Lassen. The chair has distinguishable elements of Deco (rounded contours of the seat and curved back along with the bulbous-form front feet). However, the color and clean lines of the back feet give the piece a distinctive, modern feel. (This chair is the perfect bridge between the two design periods and can suit either decorating style.)

The upholstery has been professionally cleaned, but minor wear remains (2 spots, along with a thread separation at the base). Overall, the chair is in good, age-appropriate condition.

The seat height is 15″.

1940s Emerald Glass “Hortus” Pot by Josef Frank for Svenskt Tenn

Introduced in glass form in 1942, the “Hortus” pot is one of Josef Frank’s most coveted / iconic designs. This rare, early example in emerald green is in excellent, vintage condition with only light wear to the underside.
Marked ‘Svenskt Tenn Stockholm.’

1940s Leather Equestrian ‘Feed Bag’ by Enid Collins

Early and rare Collins of Texas ‘feed bag’ composed of saddle leather trimmed in brass casting. The leather bag houses an enamel ‘feed bucket,’ conceived as a stylish, yet practical vessel for horse feed. Alternatively, this bucket-bag combination can be used as a wastebasket.
Nice age / patina to the leather with one spot of separation where one of the two brass loops rests. Spots of loss to the enamel bucket. Interior leather is branded with the ‘Collins of Texas’ mustang logo.
