Pair of Small Mid-Century American Modern “Hi-Lo” Gooseneck Beside Table Lamps/Wall Sconces

Pair of two diminutive, adjustable bedside lamps/scones model #340 by Hi-Lo (ca. 1950s, USA). Composed of brown metal shades and bases with brass gooseneck stems and gold metal finials. Additionally, there is a small pull ring at the base that slides out for wall-mounting.
There is a sheen to one of the two lamps, due to a coating applied over the brown paint (original to the lamp, just a different finish than the second example). Despite the variation in finishes, this set works well as a pair and is being listed as such.
Very good, vintage condition with wear to the paint, as shown. There is a push-button on/off switch, and the bulbs and wiring are sound.
Height adjusts from 7.13″ to 17″
The length when fully extended is 11.25″
The diameter of the base is 3.5″

Pair of Vintage “Buenilum” Brass Candlesticks by Buehner-Wanner

$650.00

Pair of ca. 1945 American “Buenilum” brass candleholders. Buenilum is the brand name of Frederick Buehner and Franz Wanner’s eponymous company, Buehner & Wanner, which was later acquired by Pflatzgraff in 1969.
Saucer-form with ornate ring detail present to the base (adjoined rings resemble springs).
These are rare examples, as they are hammered brass, as opposed to aluminum (“Buenilum” is a combination of “Buehner” and “aluminum,” as these pieces were almost exclusively made from aluminum).
Newly polished condition though light wear remains – namely two lines in the brass (potentially manufacturing flaws, as brass was an uncommon material for the aluminum serve/decorative ware manufacturer).
Branded “BUENILUM BRASS” with a castle mark, representing a castle in Buehner’s home town of Lindach.
H: 1.75″ x Diameter: 4.38″

Pair of Vintage Brass and Chrome Adjustable Floor Lamps by Cedric Hartman

Pair of “Low Profile Luminaire” floor lamps with brass bases/shades and chrome stems by Cedric Hartman (ca. 1969, Omaha, Nebraska, USA).
Iconic design often referred to as the “Museum Model” since it is included in the MOMA’s permanent collection.
Hartman’s lamps have also been featured in many celebrity homes, and actress, Faye Dunaway, once remarked, “all the great homes have a Cedric Hartman lamp”.
The owners acquired these lamps in 1969 directly from Hartman, a close family friend who additionally gifted them several prototypes of his designs (they have been with the same Omaha, Nebraska family since their original production).
Thoughtful, accommodating design with swiveling shades and pivoting arms. Additionally, the height easily and seamlessly adjusts by raising / lowering the stem, and Hartman’s signature lucite dimmers / on and off switches are original and fully intact. Signature present to both bases.
Newly cleaned / buffed condition; light wear remains (namely light spots of pitting / light scuffing to the bases, as shown, and a couple of light scuffs/tarnish spots to the shades). Note that the brass is un-lacquered, and the bases presently have a silver tone post-polishing. As natural patina reforms, the bases will regain their previous gold hues. Overall, very good condition with age-expected wear consistent with history.

Height: 42.5″
Longest reflecting arm extended in the opposite direction of the base : 25.5″
Shortest length reflecting the arm and fixture positioned parallel to the base: 13.25″
