Pair of Vintage Preview Accent Chairs on Brass Caster Wheels
$6,200.00Sophisticated “Preview” arm chairs designed in the late 1980s / early 1990s. Preview, a division of Wieman Furniture of Hickory North Carolina, gained acclaim in the late 1980s-1990s when Vladimir Kagan designed several lines for them. These are not confirmed as Kagan designs, though they resemble a similar model of seating.
Very uncommon examples whose modest, streamlined design provides an elegant aesthetic without compromising comfort. The cushioned high back and slim arm rests offer sufficient support, and the small, brass caster wheels allow for easy mobility.
Retain the original light taupe / pale gray cotton ribbed upholstery, which has been professionally cleaned but shows one snag to the bottom of one of the chairs along with very light, general wear.
Manufacturer’s fabric tag present to one of the chairs.
Measures: H: 34.5″ x L: 23.25″ x D: 24.5″
Arm Height: 24.88″

Pair of Vintage Preview Lounge Chairs
$4,800.00Postmodern “Preview” lounge chairs manufactured in the 1980s. Preview, a division of Wieman Furniture of Hickory North Carolina, gained acclaim in the late 1980s-1990s when Vladimir Kagan designed several lines for them. These are not confirmed as Kagan designs, though they resemble a similar model of seating.
Exceedingly durable and comfortable with a densely cushioned seat and back rest with stylish, thick armrests which have a ‘floating-like” appearance. All supported by ebonized block feet.
Upholstery was likely redone in the 1990s. The fabric and foam are sound, but the pair could benefit from a re-do in a less busy fabric tautly applied to to better defines its crisp lines.
One chair retains the manufacturer label.
Measures: H: 28.5″ top of frame alone / 32.5″ including the cushion x L: 36″ x D: 36.5″
