Vintage Gio Ponti BNL Writing Table / Desk in Italian Walnut, Beech and Brass

Iconic writing table designed in the 1940s by Gio Ponti for Schirolli to furnish BNL (Banca Nazionale del Lavoro) offices across Italy.
This early 1950s model was acquired directly from the Rome Bissolati BNL headquarters (Ponti also used this design for the University of Padua).
Composed of a walnut, beech, and fruitwood frame with laminate top, dual dovetailed drawers, brass pulls/sabots, and single lock, all further supported by a lower stretcher.
Beautifully aged, original condition with warm patina and natural wear from use (surface and frame scuffs / veneer losses around the drawers along with tarnish to the unpolished brass, as shown).
We have a total of four of these desks, all obtained from Rome Bissolai BNL. Listing is for the single desk pictured.

Vintage Globe / Planisphere With Black Acrylic Casing

Very unique bookend / decorative object / instructional tool composed of a small globe circa early 1990s mounted atop a Miller Planisphere. The planisphere is a concentric plastic disk which, when rotated to the date and time of day, reveals a window of the sky corresponding to what you would see. The stars are in their proper positions, and the constellations are outlined with their names.
The globe / planisphere combo is cased in a black acrylic frame.
Interesting desktop curiosity that is both instructional and stylish.
Very good condition with only small scuffs to the acrylic.

Vintage divided platter in gold-toned high-fired porcelain with beaded border (ca. later 1970s/early 1980s, USA).
A striking, original piece unattributed to a specific designer, but whose design was later emulated by manufacturer, Pampa Bay for their Monaco line, though no divided dish of comparable size was ever created. The later examples also lack the rich patina and darker luster of this vintage example.

Vintage Gondola Form Oblong Polished Brass Decorative / Fruit Bowl

Vintage Hollywood Regency-style oblong brass serving/decorative bowl (ca 1970s, USA).
Newly polished condition – interior glistens, showing only a smattering of small tarnish spots, while exterior shows light patina/wear consistent with age/use. The line present to one side was likely a disruption of the original lacquer coating.
Remains an impressive piece in very good, vintage condition.
Relatively large size (H: 3.25″ x L: 16.88″ x D: 6.75″) ideal for catch-all/fruit storage or serving use.
