Parker Panttila “Forest” Watercolor Still Life

$900.00

Parker Panttila (Brooklyn, New York 1924-2002) watercolor still life of a forest tableau in attractive earth tones. The subject appears to be a partial tree trunk covered in moss and fungi. Along with being a proficient artist in many mediums (outsider sculpture / found object art and drawing), Panttila was also known for making his own frames, each carefully designed and crafted to suit the piece. The frame is original to the work. Signed “Panttila ’93.”
Overall, good, vintage condition. The canvas doesn’t lay completely flat, which can be remedied with re-matting. Light wear to the frame, as shown.
