Circa 1960s/70s American Studio ceramic bowl in attractive light blue and beige. Sgraffito squiggle pattern throughout reveals the deep brown base color. Coke can is used to illustrate scale (the piece is relatively small measuring H: 3″ x Diameter: 5.25″).

Unique 1950s Italian Modern decorative compote / bowl. Crude by design, with heavy, contrasting textures and incised, geometric designs. However, the high-gloss glaze gives the piece a refined, polished look.
Attractive combination of colors in dark and light blue, ochre, and green. The interior surface is green with light blue mottling.
A very unique decorative object in very nice, vintage condition with only paint loss to the rim, as pictured.

Mid Century West German Lava Glaze Ceramic Pitcher

This 1960s West German Pottery Pitcher is dark charcoal in color with a white lava glaze center with Sgraffito pattern. The edges where the charcoal meet the white form a beautifully subtle blue border. The interior is a mustard yellow.
W. Germany is incised to the base with the model number.

Mid-Century Italian Modern Ceramic Sgraffito ‘Fish’ Dish

Unique Italian circa 1950s terracotta fish dish with sgraffito linear decoration. Neutral palette in blue-gray with light brown-tan accents. Crude in composition with rough texture and unglazed finish.
Nice size, L: 9.25″ x D: 7″ x H: 1.5″, suitable for solely decorative use or as a candy dish / holder of small accessories. There are spots of loss (tiny specks to surface and more significant edge loss, as pictured). This piece remains a beautiful decorative object in good, vintage condition.

Polk Stoneware Footed Decorative Bowl / Vide Poche with Sgraffito Decoration

Heavily textured footed bowl with sgraffito and pinhole decoration throughout. Black interior glaze has a subtle metallic sheen and features a thin circular band with incised triangular and linear detail. Signed “Polk” with a model number “SS2” to the feet.
