Peter Lovig Nielsen
Danish Teak Sideboard with Tambour Doors by Peter Løvig Nielsen
This teak sideboard was designed and manufactured by Peter Løvig Nielsen in 1976. The tambour doors slide open to reveal three sections: Open storage to the left and right divided by a total of three adjustable shelves and four center drawers (one retains the original felt). This piece shows remarkable craftsmanship – the tambour doors slide seamlessly and vanish into the back of the cabinet. The bookmatched teak shows vivid, expressive grain and warm, rich color. Additionally, the piece is finished in the back and works well as a room-divider. The pulls are solid teak with aluminum inlay. Stamped ‘Lovig Dansk 1976’ on the underside.
