Danish Modern teak sofa attributed to Kofod Larsen for Selig. Composed of a slat-back construction and deeply sculpted armrests. Button tufted back and seat cushions. Newly reupholstered in a gray wool textile with new foam. The rubber webbing has also been replaced.
Teak has been refinished; only light, small nicks remain.
Clean lines and elegant form.
Unsigned.

Danish Modern Teak Student Desk

This minimal Danish modern teak desk features five drawers (one long and four short) and is finished on all sides. The piece is in excellent, restored condition, and due to its diminutive size and simple design, it is well suited for a small space.

The space under the longer drawer for the desk chair is: 22.9″ W x 23.5″ H.

The longer drawer is: 22″ W x 15.3″ D x 2.9″ H. The smaller drawers are: 12.25″ W x 15.3″ D x 2.9″ H.

Circa 1960s Thyssen Keramik terracotta tile / wall plaque featuring a barn owl. Unglazed, giving the piece a raw look and rough texture. Aksel Kjersgaard teak bar cart / tea trolley with a shallow storage drawer and an extendable leaf for serving, all supported by aluminum caster wheels (ca. 1960s, Denmark). The top surface slides over to accommodate the laminated extension leaf when a longer surface is required.
Extremely well made with box joint drawer details and solid wood construction (only the surfaces are veneered).

Modernist, sculptural salad servers/tongs in stainless steel designed by Svend Siune for Georg Jensen for the “Blue Shark” line (ca. 1965, Denmark).
Named for its smooth, shark-like form, “Blue Shark” is perhaps the sleekest, most organic design produced by Jensen.
Functional art, guaranteed to enhance any tabletop display.
Matte stainless steel shows normal wear consistent with age/use (scuffs, as shown). Good, vintage condition with no losses or structural defects.

Danish Rosewood and Chrome Selectform “Magic Cube” Mobile Bar by Poul Nørreklit

Rosewood dry bar supported by chrome base with caster wheels designed by Poul Nørreklit for Georg Petersens Møbelfabrik (ca. 1960s, Denmark).
Ingenious design featuring a spring-loaded mechanism which raises the cube roughly 10″. Then, the laminate surfaces are unfolded one by one and bracketed into place allowing the interior carriage to be manually lifted to the surface.
Overall, in very good, refinished condition, though a few scuffs remain, as shown.
Scarcely seen model retaining three “Made and finished in Denmark – Imported by Selig” medallions to the underside.

Danish Rosewood Two-Piece Bookcase by Gunni Omann

Stunning vitrine with adjustable shelves anchored by a small 2-door cabinet designed by Gunni Omann for Omann Jun. Exquisite bookmatching and vivid rosewood grain. The top case’s doors with black metal pulls open to reveal three adjustable shelves / side. Curiously, there are also manufacturer drill holes for adjustability on the surface of the bottom, fixed shelves. Purposeful only with the addition of vertical brackets and shelves (not included). Bottom cabinet doors open to reveal two, shallow drawers lined in green felt, along with an adjustable shelf on each side. Raised on tapered legs. Nicely restored and in excellent condition. There are a few scratches to the top of the vitrine (not visible when mounted atop the cabinet). Also, there is some color unevenness on the cabinet top from the placement of the vitrine. Can be used as a china cabinet or bookcase.

Vitrine alone measures: H: 45.25″ x L: 45.5″ x D: 12.75″ Cabinet alone measures: H: 36″ x L: 47.3″ x D: 17.25 (Depth with the doors open is 40″).

Danish Solid Teak Extension Dining Table by Finn Juhl for France & Daverkosen

Danish Modern Finn Juhl for France and Daverkosen extension table model 540, ca. mid-1950s (early example pre-dating the France & Son version).
Composed entirely of sold teak (no veneer was employed) and built extremely well to withstand the test of time, accommodating even the heaviest of use.
Thoughtfully designed with a sculptural, functional lip on each end to grip when separating the table to reveal two additional leaves stored within.
No detail was overlooked in this design – it embodies the union of form and function serving as a solid, durable table without compromising style.
Interior rails slide smoothly, and the table opens with ease, allowing a simple transition from a compact table suitable for six people to a much larger, grand dining table that accommodates ten to twelve (images of the ten Ico Parisi and eight Niels Møller chairs, respectively, illustrate possible configurations – chairs are listed separately).
Very good, refinished condition – only light scuffs/wear remain.
Branded “FD – France and Daverkosen Made in Denmark” and retains the John Stuart metal retailer medallion.
