Danish Modern Rosewood Sideboard by Gunni Omann for Omann Jun

Danish rosewood sideboard or credenza (model 18) designed in the 1960s by Gunni Omann for Omann Jun Møbelfabrik. Highly stylized yet functional piece with ample storage. Dual doors with sculpted pulls slide open to reveal a single-shelf storage space. The shelves are adjustable and can be removed entirely for open storage. Four shallow drawers on the left side supply additional storage. Details include tapered and flared legs, spectacular book-matching, and a completely finished back, allowing the piece to serve as a room divider. Boasts rich color and vivid grain. Beautiful, restored condition.

Danish Modern Rosewood Vitrine / Buffet and Hutch by Poul Hundevad

Danish rosewood two-piece hutch / bookcase manufactured in the 1960s by Poul Hundevad. The top display unit / vitrine is supported by an eight-drawer chest all exhibiting exquisite bookmatched veneer, expertly refinished.
The vitrine top features two sliding, glass doors and is divided into two sections with three removable / adjustable shelves in each section.
Originally retailed at Maurice Villency on Madison Avenue in Manhattan, as indicated by the affixed silk retailer tag.
Also retains the Danish Control and Poul Hundevad makers marks.

Rosewood has been newly refinished; only minor nicks remains. Recently upholstered in a white wool textile with gold specs. Foam and webbing are new.

Sculptural seven-arm candelabrum designed by Svend Aage Holm Sørensen (ca. 1960s, Denmark). Composed of black lacquered metal ‘branches’ and brass circular base and candle cups. Tarnish to the unpolished candle holders and a few spots of tarnish to the base. Overall, very fine, vintage condition.

Danish Modern Sofa by Erik Ostermann and H. Høpner Petersen

This rarely seen Danish Sofa was designed by Erik Osterman and H. Høpner Petersen for Godtfred Petersen in the late 1950s. It boasts clean lines, accentuated by thin, stained-oak splayed legs. The solid black tweed upholstery is new and the foam has been replaced. (New cushions were fashioned after the original.) This design of this piece boasts complete spring construction in both back and seat. Using only the highest quality materials, it was manufactured to last.

Condition: Excellent. Fabric and foam are new, original springs are sound, legs are perfect.
