Jens Risom Sculptural Walnut Globe Stand on Casters

This walnut globe stand on zinc ball caster wheels was designed by Jens Risom in the 1960s. It was constructed with rubber fittings 18″ apart to perfectly cradle a 16-inch globe (with an 18″ meridian diameter), which tilts and spins while appearing to float inside the open rim and over the ‘x’ of the walnut base. Comes with the original 16-inch Rand McNally Terrestrial globe Walnut stand by itself: 29.75″ H.
