Gordon and Jane Martz for Marshall Studios Stoneware Wall Clock

Rare ceramic clock (Model M149-45) designed by Jane and Gordon Martz for Marshall Studios in 1960. Color is slate gray with beige incised (sgraffito) lines denoting numbers. No flaws to the stoneware; painted metal hands show minor wear / paint loss consistent with age and use. The craze lines on the underside of the unglazed base occurred in the kiln.
Will be presented in working condition.
Unsigned, as was the case with all Marshall Studios clocks.

This ceramic table lamp was designed by Gordon and Jane Martz for Marshall Studios in the 1960s. The matte pale gray finish features a lightly mottled surface and crude, linear sgraffito decoration in brown. Both original final and stem are solid walnut. Wiring is new, and a pull on / off chain has been added. Signed ‘Martz’ to the ceramic base.
Includes the shade.

The piece is unsigned (these walnut base lamps were never signed) but retains the Marshall Studios label on the underside.

Martz for Marshall Studios Matte Ochre Ceramic Table Lamp with Original Shade

This petite, ceramic table lamp was designed by Gordon and Jane Martz for Marshall Studios in the 1960s. It has an ochre matte finish and is in good, vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing. Includes the scarcely seen, original, linen shade with applied raffia and wire clip-on attachment. Shade shows minor wear / loss in one place, as shown. Wiring and socket are new, and a pull on / off chain has been added. Signed ‘Martz’ to the ceramic base and retains the UL listing / Marshall Studios label.

Martz for Marshall Studios Stoneware Coffee / Tea Set

Complete tea set from Gordon and Jane Martz for Marshall Studios in rare sky blue matte glaze with Incised linear decoration throughout. The original leather wrap and cork top are intact on the teapot. This set is pristine; there is no trace that any of the pieces were even used. The teapot retains the original Marshall Studios label, and each individual piece is signed ‘Martz’ with the respective model number. This set was first available in 1957; this example is likely a 1960s model, given the color. Each cup is: 2.5″ H x 2.75″ diameter (provided dimensions are for the tea pot alone).

Mid Century Martz Ceramic and Walnut Bookends

Pair of Gordon and Jane Martz for Marshall Studios walnut and brass bookends with ceramic diamond tile inlay (model #TBE1-21, circa 1957). Boasts vibrant colors of taupe, green, blue and white. Ceramic and walnut are pristine; brass to one of the ends shows tarnish (concealed when used for its intended purpose).
