Bauhaus Desk in Beech, Black Laminate, and Bakelite with Tubular Steel Base

$2,200.00

Bauhaus-style diminutive student desk/writing table with tubular chromed-steel base and beech frame with bakelite pulls supporting a black laminate surface (ca. 1930s, USA).
Substantial piece that remains both stylish and practical offering sufficient storage options while occupying a small footprint.
There are five drawers in total, all retaining the original sculptural amber bakelite pulls.
There are laminate scuffs throughout, and wear to the metal frame (patina, scuffs, general wear). The beech has been refinished, though on the back of the desk there are veneer losses and two old repairs along with one split to the wood (see last two images). Overall, good, vintage condition with wear consistent with age/use.
