Gerald Thurston for Lightolier table/desk lamp with oversized, fully adjustable/hinged shade, brass stem and crescent base (ca. 1950s, USA). A plexi diffuser has been added (not original to the piece and not required for use). Retains the original dual-porcelain socket and brass finial.
White enamel has been conservatively touched up. There are some scuffs to the paint and unevenness to the brass finish.
Newly rewired.

Composed of fluted / ribbed matte white ceramic bases with brass accents. Features Thurston’s signature white porcelain triple socket, serving as an ample light source. Very good, vintage condition with original pull strings and finials, all in solid brass. There is patina / wear present to the metal stems and porcelain sockets (most notably and quite typical paint loss and general wear to the sockets which would be concealed by a shade), along with a few minor scuffs to the brass bases, as shown.
Does not include shades.

Elegant, sculptural table lamps by Gerald Thurston — cream and light taupe ceramic form with patinated brass base and accents. Each lamp features a triple socket, serving as an ample light source. Excellent, vintage condition with original pull strings and finials, all in solid brass. There is minor wear / loss to the white paint of the underside of the sockets along with a couple of small scuffs to the brass bases (brass has been polished; minor wear remains). Discoloration to parts of the ceramic are original (the taupe glaze runs into the cream in a few places).
Includes new acrylic diffusers.

Pair of Lightolier Floor Lamps in Polished Brass and Painted Metal

Pair of extraordinary and rare circa early 1950s Lightolier floor lamps in brass with red painted metal (paint is original) and rubber insulated brass details. There is a brass coil finished with a brass ball finial adorning the top of the stem supported by a circular weighted and painted brass base. Finished with a dense glass diffuser, intended to support a shade. Can function without a shade, as the clear glass diffuses the light without one.
Restored condition: brass has been polished, and metal has been cleaned. Minor wear / smattering of paint loss to the base remains.
Includes the original Lightolier tag, as shown.
Shade not included.

Scandinavian Modern Opal Glass Pendant

1960s opal glass fixture with ceiling cap marked 'Lightolier.' (The canopy was likely a later addition to conceal the wire; this fixture was not manufactured by Lightolier.) The translucent, opal glass allows for uniform distribution of the light, and the opening at the bottom of the pendant adds the bonus of downward, direct light. 13″ H (fixture alone) 38″ H ( from fixture to top of canopy – as displayed, but adjustable) 6.75″ diameter of canopy.

Space Age Lightolier “Interplay II” Desk Lamp

1970s Japanese “Interplay 2” desk lamp manufactured by Lightolier. Composed of a black plastic ‘space helmet’ with dual opaque diffusers which can adjust the light intensity / output. Very good, vintage condition with a few scuffs / wear consistent with age / use.
Marked “Lightolier / Catalog No. 8960 Series”.

Triennale Style Floor Lamp by Lightolier

Striking, rare three-fixture floor lamp manufactured by Lightolier in the 1950s. Composed of three conical, perforated shades in black mounted to chrome arms with counter weights which attach to a chromed stem and round base. Shades and arms offer countless configuration options, as both are fully articulating / adjustable. Shades have been fully restored, chrome is in excellent, vintage condition with only minor wear. Listed dimensions reflect the standard configuration of the lamp (as pictured). Height can extend to 80.5″.

Excellent, restored condition (enamel has been touched up, and wiring is new). Light scuffs to the plexiglass hood, discoloration to the diffuser, and light patina to the brass remain.
