Gordon and Jane Martz Walnut Floor Lamp with Ceramic Base

This exceptional Martz floor lamp (Model #P158-28FI) features a ceramic base in alternating ‘rings’ of beige and light brown offset by a walnut base, stem, ring, and finial. The base is heavily textured, almost crude in comparison to the more typical Martz matte glazes. The piece is unsigned (these walnut base lamps were never signed). The height to the top of the finial is: 59.75″. The height to the top of the socket is: 49.5″.

Hand Decorated Martz for Marshall Studios Ceramic and Walnut Table Lamp

This table lamp was designed by Gordon and Jane Martz for Marshall Studios in the 1960s and is comprised of a matte glaze ceramic base and walnut finial / neck. The swirls of earth tones (beiges and browns) are disrupted by light beige abstract ‘brush strokes’ that recur in a slight variation throughout. Height to top of socket: 14″ Height to top of finial: 21.5″.

Ochre Martz ‘Gourd’ Lamp

This ceramic table lamp was designed in the 1960s by Gordon and Jane Martz for Marshall Studios. This example, in a matte ochre glaze, features an elongated neck off-set by a round base (resembling a gourd in shape) with grey Sgraffito detail. The lamp has been rewired, and a gold cord has been added that works well with the golden glaze. Comes without the finial and shade.
