1970s Tentazione Loveseat Two-Seat Sofa by Mario Bellini for Cassina

Early 1970s Mario Bellini for Cassina “Tentazione” 2-seat sofa / loveseat (Model #685) in original pale peach cotton upholstery with black circular disk ABS feet. Distributed / imported, retailed, and marketed by the New York Company, Atelier International.
Exemplifies the union of form and function. Stylish with sleek, shapely contours, yet exceedingly durable and comfortable.
Loveseat sat in a sun-drenched Manhattan apartment, so there is a large patch that appears darker than the rest, as that space was shaded from direct sunlight (evidenced by the color of the interior material, as shown). The darkened patch is a better reflection of the actual color of the loveseat originally. Despite the darkened area, the upholstery is sound, free of soiling or wear, and can be left as is. Reupholstery is recommended to achieve a uniform tone; however, not absolutely necessary.
Measures: H 30″ x D 29.25″ x L 64″
Seat height 17″
Arm height 25.25″.

Stylish with sleek, shapely contours, yet exceedingly durable and comfortable. Velvet shows minor wear (light spotting in spots and edge wear, as shown). Overall, very good, original condition. It could benefit from reupholstery, but can easily be used as is, as the upholstery shows well overall.
Retains the Atelier International / Cassina label (ai was the distributor / importer, marketer, and retailer, not the manufacturer).
Measures: H 30″ x D 29.25″ x L 92.25″
Seat height 17″
Arm height 25″.

At 16 Coat Rack by Osvaldo Borsani for Tecno

The AT 16 was originally designed by Osvaldo Borsani for Tecno in 1961. This example is from the 2012 limited re-edition, purchased directly from the Tecno showroom in Milan. The central structure is comprised of an external leather-wrapped aluminum tube, and two sliding concentric tubes in black anodized aluminum. Polished aluminum rings act as the locking mechanisms for the tubes, and can be loosened to adjust the height. The adjustable brushed stainless steel bars cross through the central tube and hold the spheres. The spheres themselves are beech, stained in different colors and range in size from 1.25″ to 3.5″. The rack is installed via a floor mounted anti-skid disc in polished aluminum and a brass plug set in the ceiling (see photos for top and bottom installation components). Embossed ‘Tecno’ manufacturer mark in the leather. Height adjustability: 106.25″ to maximum 126″ L / D: 27.25″ maximum.
