Gordon and Jane Martz for Marshall Studios Stoneware Wall Clock
Rare ceramic clock (Model M149-45) designed by Jane and Gordon Martz for Marshall Studios in 1960. Color is slate gray with beige incised (sgraffito) lines denoting numbers. No flaws to the stoneware; painted metal hands show minor wear / paint loss consistent with age and use. The craze lines on the underside of the unglazed base occurred in the kiln.
Will be presented in working condition.
Unsigned, as was the case with all Marshall Studios clocks.

Large Gordon and Jane Martz Walnut and Ceramic Table Lamp with Finial
$1,400.00This large Martz for Marshall Studios table lamp features a pale grey body with banded sgraffito decoration, exposing the unglazed surface beneath. This example showcases the rich walnut, present in base, stem / surface, and finial.
Excellent, vintage condition (what appears to be dark streaks on two sides of the base are actually original to the glaze).
The piece is unsigned (these walnut base lamps were never signed) but retains the Marshall Studios label on the underside.

The height to the top of the socket is: 28″
The height to the stop of the stem is: 25.25″
The height of the base alone is: 19″

Martz for Marshall Studios High-Gloss Ceramic Table Lamp
This petite, ceramic table lamp was designed by Gordon and Jane Martz for Marshall Studios in the 1960s. It is a high-gloss chocolate finish (which actually appears charcoal depending on the light / angle) with a highly textured, mottled surface. Wiring and socket are new, and a pull on / off chain has been added. Signed ‘Martz’ to the ceramic base.

Martz for Marshall Studios Matte Ochre Ceramic Table Lamp with Original Shade
This petite, ceramic table lamp was designed by Gordon and Jane Martz for Marshall Studios in the 1960s. It has an ochre matte finish and is in good, vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing. Includes the scarcely seen, original, linen shade with applied raffia and wire clip-on attachment. Shade shows minor wear / loss in one place, as shown. Wiring and socket are new, and a pull on / off chain has been added. Signed ‘Martz’ to the ceramic base and retains the UL listing / Marshall Studios label.

Nice walnut accents present in both the original final and stem.

Beehive-form perforated stoneware shade with swirl pattern in attractive matte earth tone hues of brown, reddy-brown, cream, and taupe .
Retains its original black lacquered metal finial and hardware which, along with the cord, measures over 8′ long. Newly rewired.
Very good, vintage condition with only light scuffs to ceramic and minor paint loss to chain/ring, as shown.
First appears in the 1960s Marshall Studios Catalog #17 (see images).
