Bjørn Wiinblad for Rosenthal porcelain wall plate circa 1970s Denmark. Figures’ outlines are lightly sketched but stand-out because they are framed with the contrasting orange, red, and green bird decoration. Gilded leaf and signature detail add another layer of color and texture to this minimal, yet ornate piece. Plate is equipped with two holes in the back to thread wire for wall-mounting. Branded: ‘Rosenthal Studio-linie Germany’ to the back.
Measures 13″ in diameter x 1.5″ H.

German Modernist “Cobra” Adjustable Table Lamp by Cosack Leuchten

Cosack Leuchten desk/task/table lamp with adjustable stem (ca. 1950, Germany).
Aptly named “cobra” given its sinewy form with flexible, gooseneck arm and oversized, perforated shade. Red and black lacquer are original and show light wear consistent with age (paint losses and scuffs, as shown). Brass shows good age/patina. Overall, good, vintage condition.
Wired for US use.

German modernist diminutive table / bedside lamp reminiscent of designs by Mathieu Matégot with its perforated pattern. Composed of a dual shade (the exterior in slate gray, the interior in off-white with perforations) supported by a brass stem and brass and metal base. The shade can be lowered and raised 1.25″. Retains the original wiring but the cord has been changed to support USA use.

Exceptional design and form with a retractable cord / canopy for simple height adjustment (cord including fixture adjusts from 25″ height to 62″; fixture alone is 11″ high). Excellent, unrestored / original condition. Retains Petzler Germany sticker to the socket.

Pair of molded plastic Uten.Silos / Wall-Alls designed by Dorothee Maurer-Becker for Design M. These early examples in white (circa 1969, Germany) measure 34.25″ H x 26.5″ L x 2.5″ D. Ample compartments and hooks for storing supplies, versatile for use in any room (office, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, etc.).
These examples are in very good, vintage condition, showing slight discoloration (these once white units have become slightly off-white over time). Additionally, there’s minor glue overflow from manufacturing to the interior ‘cubbies’ of both units, though more prominent in the second example. Overall, remarkable shape for their age, free of scratches or loss.
