Asymmetrical French Modern Iron and Green Tile Swiveling Coffee/Cocktail Table
$5,600.00Unique cocktail/coffee table composed of a wrought iron frame with an inset green ceramic tile asymmetrical/trapezoidal top above two swiveling surfaces, all supported by splayed iron legs and adjustable brass feet.
The tiles were likely designed by Atelier La Roue (Vallauris), given a similar signed example, but these tiles are signed only “V &B Made in France” on the undersides, suggesting that perhaps Villeroy and Boch produced the tiles, though their cyphers differ from the ones present.
Retains the original paint to the iron frame, whose crackled/crazed pattern is by design.
Impressive piece with all original components. Conservatively refinished, but wear remains (some paint loss and oxidation present to the iron, as shown, along with age-appropriate general wear).
Remains an impressive, visually stunning piece that is compact, yet highly functional with multiple configuration options and ample storage/surface space.
