Set of Two Enamel on Copper Red and Gold Decorative Plates by Win Ng

$350.00

Duo of Mid-Century Modern enamel decorative dishes by acclaimed artist, Win Ng of San Francisco, CA, whose works can be found in museums and private collections worldwide.
These examples (the smaller one measuring Diameter: 5.75″ x H: 0.75″, and the larger Diameter: 6.25″ x H: 1″) are small in scale but bold in design with red backgrounds and gold detail.
The technique employed incorporates fusing powdered glass to metal (in this case, copper) to create a beautiful work of enamel art. The decoration, an asymmetrical, abstract smattering of irregular-circles, almost has a jewel-like appearance with rich luster / sheen. The simple form and small size are contrasted with the vivid colors and nice texture that the pattern introduces.
Two, beautiful pieces of enamel that can be used for display purposes or as a soap / keys / jewelry dish.
Very nice, vintage condition with only minor wear commensurate with age / use. The rose gold undersides have light wear (scratches, crazing), but the surfaces are nice.
Artist signed and numbered : ‘Win Ng San Francisco’ with the corresponding production number of each.
Do not include stands.
