Curtis Jere
Curtis Jere Enamel on Copper Bird Weather Vane Wall Sculpture
This 1960s Curtis Jere wall sculpture features two vibrant enamel on copper birds atop a verdigris metal weather vane. There is nice age to the rods and some wear (namely a small bend to the bottom left corner of the ‘W,’ which is barely noticeable). The enamel is in excellent shape. This is a rare, early example of Curtis Jere’s enamel work. Signed ‘C. Jere.’

Mixed Metal Curtis Jere Elongated ‘Urchin’ Wall Sculpture
$2,200.00This uncommon Jere sculpture is comprised of chromed steel ‘spores’ that together form an urchin or pom-pom figure at the top. A combination of brass and chromed steel rods with steel ball tips extend down, and, although the piece does not have the same functionality, the structure is reminiscent of a wind-chime. This piece is unsigned (these were originally marker signed on the back, which often wears off, or is purposely scrubbed off).

Steel and Enameled Porcelain Abstract Brutalist Table Sculpture
This impressive Brutalist table sculpture is comprised of distressed circular cutouts of steel sheets supported by three bent steel rods for feet. The sugaring (oxidation) present on each disc was an intentional effect of the welding process and enhances the depth and texture of the work. There are three enameled porcelain orbs in the sculpture’s interior, which can be seen from all angles. There is no artist attribution, but this piece was assembled by an exceptional artisan who understood technique and composition.
Condition: Good vintage condition.
