Ingenious design with foldable legs that allow the piece to fully collapse when not in use.
Original condition with sufficient paint losses/scuffs consistent with age/use.
Functions perfectly, and legs tuck away easily and smoothly.

Squares are roughly 3″ square (due to the folk art nature of the piece, some are slightly larger than the 3 inches).

Early Twentieth Century Folk Art Framed Velvet Quilt Chess / Checker Board

Unique Folk Art chess / checker board composed of a handmade, burgundy velvet quilt with beige, white and gold stitched accents, all housed within a glass-fronted oak frame (ca. 1910-1920, USA). There are scuffs present to the glass, as shown; fabric itself is in excellent, vintage condition. Wired for wall-mounting but can sit on a surface.
Measures: H: 22.5″ x L: 22.5″ x D: 1.25″.

Vintage Walnut and Beech Chessboard

Deeply inset solid walnut and beech chess / checkerboard within a carved walnut border (ca. 1970s, USA). Dense board is supported by cylindrical feet, all green felted for table protection.
Good, vintage condition with light wear consistent with age (scuffs, as shown).
Measures: H: 3″ x D: 19″ x L: 19.25″.
