Cabinet
1950s Storage Unit by Bill Renwick for Brunswick
This Bauhaus-style storage cabinet is a rare example from Brunswick, scarcely seen in its original finish. Although it is often attributed to Raymond Loewy, Bill Renwick actually designed this unit in the 1950s. It is composed of a painted gray masonite frame / trim and eight off-white sliding doors with recessed round pulls. There is a metal divider in between each two-door compartment. The lightly patterned laminate surface is a pale gray, and the case is supported by four rubber feet. There are scratches and loss commensurate with age and use, but the piece remains in good, vintage condition. (Discoloration / loss can be easily eradicated by painting the frame and or removable masonite doors.) However, these units in their original condition are so scare that we opted to present the piece in said condition.

Each of the two cabinet doors has a unique key that unlocks its corresponding door (the keys are not interchangeable). Early Florence Knoll Credenza / Cabinet in Mahogany, Birch, and Grasscloth
Uncommon and early Florence Knoll Credenza (1947) featuring a birch cabinet, stained mahogany base, and grasscloth-wrapped doors, which slide open to reveal three wooden shelves to the left and two plate glass shelves to the right. Dramatic lines enhanced by sculpted, splayed legs, which add nice contrast to an otherwise organic form.
Interior components and leather pulls are all original and show wear (fissures / fleabites present to glass shelves, which can be arranged to mask these flaws, so that the wear is contained to the underside and back). Lovely patina to the leather and paint losses to the interior (white paint is original and is presented, accordingly). Birch has been newly refinished and grasscloth doors have been fully restored to ensure longevity. The stained mahogany base is completely original with only light wear, as shown.
Measures: H 32.5″ x D 14.875″ x L 72″
There are four sections in total – one with two wooden shelves, one with a single wooden shelf, one with two glass shelves, and an open storage section. The orientation of all sections with shelves can be changed, as the shelves are all removable and the same dimensions. The interior sections all measure: H 16″ x D 11.5″ x L 16.75″

Hollywood Regency-Style “Rosette” Cabinet by Lane
Striking and glamorous cabinet manufactured ca. 1963 by Lane Altavista, though bearing a similarity to cabinets designed by Dorothy Draper for Heritage-Henredon.
Composed of a cream frame with gold border and ornate, oversized “rosette” pulls. Though, the rosette knobs are purely decorative and the handles don’t actually open the cabinet. There are built-in hinges that open by pressing on the right door and then manually releasing the left.
The doors open to reveal open storage flanked by a single, fixed-shelf.
Functions perfectly and is conservatively restored with a professional touch up to the gold border. Only a couple of light impressions are present to one side, as shown. Excellent, vintage condition.

Jens Risom Walnut Credenza / Cabinet on Ebonized Plinth Base with Key
American Modern credenza / cabinet by Jens Risom in walnut with an ebonized plinth base and sculpted, metal pulls, circa 1950s. Features a total of twelve drawers of various heights and one hinged-door cabinet with an adjustable shelf.
This useful storage solution, suitable for home or office, balances form and function by offering abundant drawer and cabinet space without compromising aesthetic. The ebonized base and pulls offer a sleek complement to the dark grain of the walnut, and the bookmatching along with sculptural elements add a refined elegance to a sturdy, practical piece.
Very nice, refinished condition but wear remains (most notably, few surface spots of wear to the right side and a slight tonal variation between some of the drawers, due to the nature of the veneer).
