“Etruscan” Coffee Table in Bronze with Serpent Decoration by Christopher Chodoff
Brutalist “Etruscan” coffee table by Christopher Chodoff inspired by Diego Giacometti’s designs (ca. 1980s, USA). Composed of a densely textured hammered cast bronze frame with x-stretchers and a gold-tone cast metal serpent.
The 1/2″ thick tempered glass top is likely a latter addition, given its size, which is only about 1″ longer and deeper than the base.
There are a couple of scuffs to the glass; otherwise, the table is in excellent, vintage condition.

Brutalist Four-Panel Credenza by Adrian Pearsall for Craft Associates
This unique credenza in the Brutalist style of Paul Evans was designed by Adrian Pearsall for Craft Associates and is composed of molded resin decoration in gold and bronze tones over a wooden frame. The ‘push’ latch mechanisms open and close each door with a simple motion. The doors open to reveal two fixed shelves (one/side) and a sizable middle drawer. The piece retains its original black paint on the surface, plinth base, and back, although there is minor loss to the back. The matching wall-mounted bar will be listed separately.

Brutalist Wall Mounted “Disc” Bar by Adrian Pearsall for Craft Associates
Brutalist wall-mounted disc bar designed by Adrian Pearsall for Craft Associates inspired by the PE-122 bar designed by Paul Evans (ca. 1970s, USA).
Bar features two doors of sculpted resin over wood concealing a cabinet with two adjustable/removable shelves and a polished chrome sheet metal backing (appearing as a mirrored back). Luxurious, striking conversation piece with rich bronze and gold tones and intriguing incorporation of abstract shapes, linear patterns, and dense textures.
There is a back lip running the length of the cabinet itself that can be mounted to a wall-mounted ledger board. We have custom cut a ledger board, which can be included with the cabinet upon request.
Very good, conservatively restored condition with only light wear remaining: there are a couple of streaks to the original paint on one side of the cabinet itself along with a bend to one side of the chrome sheet metal backing, as shown.

Hy Snell Bucking Bronco Mixed-Metal Sculpture on Board
This mixed metal sculpture is comprised of a combination of bronze, copper, found object metal (coins), and others. It is mounted to a walnut board bearing a label with the artist’s name ‘Hy T Snell.’ The piece is additionally artist signed. Sculptures of Hy Snell (b. 1919) focused on motion, and his subjects ranged from ballerinas to boxers to polo players (and in this case, a cowboy riding a bronco). Snell’s story and impressive works gained the admiration and attention of the pharmaceutical company, Pfizer, and he’s become a focal point of the company’s Get Old campaign. Displayed on the street-level windows of its New York City headquarters are two large photos of Snell. This is a monumental example of the artist’s work that embodies both movement and the marriage of similar but different materials, his two objectives in sculpture design.

Unique design with rich colors and patterns depicting an abstraction of an apple’s interior.
Nice contrast of modernist attributes with Brutalist and crude characteristics – the purposeful asymmetry of the piece, involving hand-forming/bending one of the edges to better resemble an apple’s shape adds to the piece’s uniqueness.
Good, vintage condition with moderate age-commensurate crazing present; no enamel losses.
Signed Laurana and retains the label indicating “Rame d’Arte Lavorazione a Mano” or “copper art processing/manufacturing by hand.”
