Bauhaus Desk in Beech, Black Laminate, and Bakelite with Tubular Steel Base

Bauhaus-style diminutive student desk/writing table with tubular chromed-steel base and beech frame with bakelite pulls supporting a black laminate surface (ca. 1930s, USA).
Substantial piece that remains both stylish and practical offering sufficient storage options while occupying a small footprint.
There are five drawers in total, all retaining the original sculptural amber bakelite pulls.
There are laminate scuffs throughout, and wear to the metal frame (patina, scuffs, general wear). The beech has been refinished, though on the back of the desk there are veneer losses and two old repairs along with one split to the wood (see last two images). Overall, good, vintage condition with wear consistent with age/use.

Pair of Danish Mogens Hansen Velvet Lounge Chairs

Plush pair of 1970s Danish modern lounge chairs by Mogens Hansen in black velvet with stained beech wood feet. Additional velvet cushions (one on each side) nestle into the curvature of the frames for added comfort / support. Velvet and foam are new. Height to top of back cushion: 30” Height to top of frame without cushion: 26″.

Pair of 1950s Danish beech and teak shell chairs designed by Ib Kofod-Larsen for Christensen & Larsen. Composed of a deeply sculpted bent-teakwood back and seat mounted to a beech frame offering a ‘two-tone’ contrast with the lightness of the beech and the rich color / grain of the teak. Nice, restored condition with only minor wear remaining. Branded “Made In Denmark” to underside.

Scandinavian Modern Oak and Beech Gateleg Dining Table

1960s Scandinavian dining table, featuring gate-leg / drop-leaf construction with a stained oak top and beech base. Bears a small footprint when leaves are down and stores away easily when not in use; when fully extended, seats six. Simple to use, legs fold out seamlessly and sides drop down / extend up with little effort.
Beautiful, restored condition; only base shows minor wear, as indicated.

Vintage Gio Ponti BNL Writing Table / Desk in Italian Walnut, Beech and Brass

Iconic writing table designed in the 1940s by Gio Ponti for Schirolli to furnish BNL (Banca Nazionale del Lavoro) offices across Italy.
This early 1950s model was acquired directly from the Rome Bissolati BNL headquarters (Ponti also used this design for the University of Padua).
Composed of a walnut, beech, and fruitwood frame with laminate top, dual dovetailed drawers, brass pulls/sabots, and single lock, all further supported by a lower stretcher.
Beautifully aged, original condition with warm patina and natural wear from use (surface and frame scuffs / veneer losses around the drawers along with tarnish to the unpolished brass, as shown).
We have a total of four of these desks, all obtained from Rome Bissolai BNL. Listing is for the single desk pictured.
