Brutalist Wall Mounted “Disc” Bar by Adrian Pearsall for Craft Associates
Brutalist wall-mounted disc bar designed by Adrian Pearsall for Craft Associates inspired by the PE-122 bar designed by Paul Evans (ca. 1970s, USA).
Bar features two doors of sculpted resin over wood concealing a cabinet with two adjustable/removable shelves and a polished chrome sheet metal backing (appearing as a mirrored back). Luxurious, striking conversation piece with rich bronze and gold tones and intriguing incorporation of abstract shapes, linear patterns, and dense textures.
There is a back lip running the length of the cabinet itself that can be mounted to a wall-mounted ledger board. We have custom cut a ledger board, which can be included with the cabinet upon request.
Very good, conservatively restored condition with only light wear remaining: there are a couple of streaks to the original paint on one side of the cabinet itself along with a bend to one side of the chrome sheet metal backing, as shown.
From the collection of a prominent New York City architect.

Mid-Century Modern Walnut Bar Cart / Cabinet on Casters by Milo Baughman

Osvaldo Borsani Modular Rosewood Bookcase Wall Unit with Removable Panels
$26,000.00Large modular rosewood bookcase/wall unit by Osvaldo Borsani for Tecno (ca. 1960, Italy).
Composed of six gold aluminum uprights forming five bays/sections with the five original, removable panel backings in alternating ochre velvet and rosewood veneer (can be displayed with or without panels).
Includes
-four-drawer chest
-locking storage/bar cabinet with glass door and two removable, adjustable shelves
-cabinet with glass front that drops down and slides into place and a single adjustable/removable shelf
-14 shelves
-all original brackets/mounting hardware and two keys to the bar cabinet (one for use, one for backup) branded “Tecno”
-single, original, rosewood level for evenly mounting the components (these levels are scarcely seen with these systems, as they were considered assembly tools, not integral parts of the unit despite their modernist aesthetic, and often discarded over time).
The set can also be divided to create two separate units (1 and 3 sections or 2 and 2 sections), though if panels are used when diving up the unit, one will go unused.
Alternatively, we have a second six rail/five section unit, and the two can be combined to create a grand eleven bay system (panels only come with this unit).
Gold aluminum rails and black steel brackets/hardware are all original; rosewood has been refinished and is in very good condition with only light, age-commensurate wear. Fabric and rosewood panels show fading and wear consistent with age and use, though concealed largely by the mounted elements.
Note that the aluminum rails are included (the black backings are ledger boards that we mounted in order to work with the conduit we have running along our wall – they are not necessary for standard wall-mounting and will not be included).
