Art Deco Chrome and Walnut Expandable Magazine Rack by Fred D. Farr for Revere

$650.00

Art Deco expandable magazine rack/bookend unit by Fred D. Farr for Revere (ca. 1930s, Rome, NY, USA).
Composed of a central column/shaft adorned at the top by a carved walnut finial and supported by a corresponding walnut rectangular base flanked on either side by two spring-form scrolled metal sheets. The curved coils are flexible and expand to accommodate books and magazines, then contract back in place to hold the objects securely in place.
A stylish, highly functional objet d’art to enhance any tabletop or bookshelf.
Very good, vintage condition – chrome has been polished, and walnut has been conservatively refinished; only light wear remains (light patina/splotches/minimal scuffs to metal and edge wear to the wood).
H: 17.5″ x L: 11.5″ x D: 6″
