Sculptural French Demijohn / Carboy originally used for transporting wine (early 20th Century, France).
Composed of ‘blown-to-mold’ amber/brown glass (a method accepted as ‘hand-blowing’) exhibiting trapped air bubbles within the glass itself with an applied, un-sheared thick ring.
Good, vintage condition with exterior scuffing throughout (particularly around the neck).
Both the interior and exterior of the piece have been thoroughly cleaned.
