Petite Folk Art Hand-Painted Commode with Hinged Top

Diminutive Folk Art cabinet / commode with original paint in attractive black and red palette and extraordinary hand-painted decoration (ca 19th Century, USA).
Sourced from a century barn in Andover, MA along with multiple other period examples.
Composed of a hinged top that opens to reveal a two-tiered platform, a single functioning drawer (the second drawer pull is decorative only), and bottom door concealing open storage. Structurally sound, though shows wear / losses commensurate with age and use (paint / wood loss to edges of the drawer components along with general wear throughout). Remains an important piece of Americana in all-original condition.
