Vintage Charro Saddle Tree Form in Solid Cherrywood

Saddle tree / saddle base (circa 1970s, Teziutlan Mexico) composed of carved cherrywood. Known as a ‘charro’ saddle tree after the Mexican horsemen ‘charros’ who used this style of saddle characterized by its wider seat and larger Horn.
Works nicely as a decorative object / sculpture, as the hand-carved detail is spectacular, as is the grain and texture of the wood. Carpenter’s label remains intact.
