Vintage Bovano Orange Enamel on Copper Plate

Gorgeous Mid-Century Modern enamel decorative dish by Bovano of Connecticut. This example is a nice size (11″ in diameter) and rich in color / bold in design.
The technique popularized by Bovano incorporates fusing powdered glass to metal (in this case, copper) to create a beautiful work of enamel art. The decoration features a central cluster of gold, orange, and white irregular circles surrounded by alternating ‘rays’ of gold, bronze, orange, and silver tones.
A beautiful piece of enamel that can be used for display purposes or for serving snacks / hors d’oeuvres.
Plate is in very nice, vintage condition with no flaws to note.
Retains the ‘Handcrafted by Bovano Cheshire, Conn’ sticker to the black enamel underside.
Does not include stand.
