Paul Mccobb Planner Group Stained Maple Bench with Cabinet

Stained-maple single drawer cabinet on bench designed in the 1950s by Paul McCobb for Winchendon Furniture. Cabinet features a sculptural brass pull, and minimal base is supported by turned, tapered legs.
Versatile design: the module on top can slide / be placed anywhere along the bench. The relatively light-weight cabinet can also be removed, and the base can stand alone as either a low bench or coffee table. As configured, works well as an entryway / foyer / boudoir bench with adequate cabinet storage for accessories.
Both pieces have been refinished, but scratches and light wear (particularly to the base from excessive ‘sliding’ / use) remain. Branded ‘Paul McCobb design Planner Group by Winchendon.’
Bench height 10.25″
Overall measurements: H 19″ x D 18.1″ x L 48″.
