Large-Scale Vintage Denoyer Geppert Military Globe / Activity Globe

Machine Age-style Denoyer Geppert of Chicago Military or Activity Globe composed of a spun metal blue orb with black slated land masses outlined in yellow. These globes were used by the military and NASA, in addition to serving as geographical learning tools for classrooms (hence the lack of identifying information on the land masses). They were intended to be written on using chalk.
This example (circa 1940s-1950) is in remarkable condition for its age (the best we have seen) with only light spotting throughout from oxidation, one scuff to the base, a couple of scratches on the land masses, and a few, light white streaks (likely from the chalk or chalk removal). Uniquely adjustable by means of the semi-circular meridian ring (the globe can be manually shifted in a downward or upward direction along the meridian).
Impressive size (20″ Diameter x 30″ High).
