Large Fused Art Glass Bowl by Higgins

Large glass bowl by Frances and Michael Higgins for Higgins Glass Studio (ca. 1960s, USA).
Labor intensive hand-fused method employed, which entails hand-painting glass segments on a single piece of enamel-coated glass then laying another piece of enameled glass on top and applying heat to the mold to create a glass ‘sandwich’ of sorts.
Modernist form in an attractive combination of colors (siamese purple with olive green and periwinkle triangular accents).
Signed “Higgins.”
Measures: Height: 4.5″ x 17.13″ Diameter.
