Kinetic Brutalist ‘Carnival’ Sculpture by David Hall-Coleman

1962 David Hall-Coleman kinetic mixed-metal sculpture entitled, ‘Abandoned Carnival Machine.’ Extraordinary sculpture composed of torch-cut and soldered brass and copper elements on an oak wood board. Fascinating conversation piece with interactive elements such as two windmills which manually turn. Sugaring and oxidation to the metal produced the red and green tinges seen throughout the piece. Signed, titled, and dated on the reverse. Base measures: D 8.25″ x L 14″.
