Fornasetti “Roma” Table Lamp Produced by Antonangeli

Barnaba Fornasetti, son of Piero Fornasetti, “Roma” table lamp from the La Follia series for Antonangeli (ca 1990s, Italy). Composed of a flat plastic sheet photostatic printed with an iconic design by Barnaba’s father, Piero Fornasetti, assembled by folding the sheet into a cylindrical form and inserting two tabs into their corresponding inserts. The socket fits directly into an opening in the plastic sheet and its fitting is screwed into place on the inside of the shade allowing the light to diffuse out of the open top (lamp is hollow with no base or top).
The image depicts a Roman cityscape.
Ingenious, but resourceful design producing a warm glow, while using very modest materials.
Measures: H: 13″ x L: 5.5″ x D: 5.5″ (plug adds an extra 1.5″ to the depth) Excellent, vintage condition (never used, but may show slight shelf wear from storage).
The plug has been changed for USA functionality.
