Architectural rectangular vase designed by Aldo Londi for Bitossi (ca. 1970s, Italy). Two of the four sides display geometric motifs in attractive turquoise and light purple matte glazes, while the other two sides in black and white reveal the porous nature of the clay. Each side presenting a disparate aesthetic – one geometrical, whimsical, and vibrant, the other coarse, crude, and minimal. Light wear to the top edging, as shown. Otherwise, in excellent, vintage condition. Retains the “Made in Italy” tag to the underside indicating the model number (42). H: 9.5″ x L: 3.88″ x D: 3.75″
