Vintage Hand-Died Leather Elephant After Dmitiri Omersa
Vintage leather elephant reminiscent of Dimitri Omersa’s early 20th Century designs for retailers, Abercrombie and Fitch and Liberty (ca. 1960s, England). The leather was hand-stained/dyed then wax polished to create the rich brown patinated finish. There are a couple of scuffs to the leather, as shown, but the piece remains in very fine, vintage condition.
Relatively small size (not large enough for ottoman use): H: 8.75″ x L: 10.75″ x D: 4.5″
Unmarked, designer unknown.
We have a corresponding donkey available separately – this listing is for the elephant alone. Together, they make a perfect pair for the American political enthusiast and design aficionado, alike.
