Vintage Embossed Leather Peruvian Coat of Arms Coffee Table and Nesting Stools
Embossed leather and stained mahogany coffee/cocktail table and four nesting stools depicting the Peruvian coat of arms since 1825 and embellished with tooled ‘wave’ border pattern (ca. 1950, Peru). The coat of arms features a shield bearing a vicuna (representing fauna), a cinchona tree (the source of quinine, signifying flora), and a yellow cornucopia spilling out coins (denoting mineral wealth).
Compact set occupying a small footprint but serving as a surface/seating solution for a room with space limitations.
Similar table/stool sets have been attributed to Angel Pazmino, but no such attribution has been confirmed in this case.
Wear consistent with age and use present (one spot of leather loss to the coat of arms on the coffee table along with leather splitting to the banding/general wear throughout, as shown).
