Mid-Century Czech/Bohemia Modern art pottery lidded canister imported into the United States by Theodore Eberling and Frederick Reuss’s Philadelphia-based company, Erphila (an amalgam of the first letters of their last names and Phila representing Philadelphia).
Charming, eye-catching objet d’art composed of a ribbed cylindrical vessel supported by tripod base in a vibrant orange color with cream interior.
Very good, vintage condition with light patina but no chips/cracks/losses.
Retains the ERPHILA foil label and stamped signature “Erphila Czecho Slovakia.”
