Vintage Chesterfield Style Tufted Barrel Back Tub Club Chairs on Caster Wheels
$7,200.00
Pair of perfectly aged vintage Chesterfield-style barrel back tub club/lounge chairs (ca. 1930s, England).
Original amber-brown hide leather with tufted button detail to backrest and nailhead decoration to profile and back border, all supported by turned legs in the back and copper and rubber casters to the front (a purposeful detail to both achieve the perfect height so the seat doesn’t sit too far forward while assisting in the ‘wheelbarrow-style’ method of easily moving these hefty chairs).
Very fine condition for its age: attractive, natural patina present along with light spotting and general wear, as shown. The chairs shows well, void of any structural issues, and have been fully cleaned and conditioned. Vintage casters can be removed and or replaced if desired.
