Scarcely seen 12″ ‘Magnus’ Reversible Globe, the singular globe The Prouty Branch Company manufactured (ca. 1930, Chicago, USA).
Composed of paper boards over pasteboard with adjustable metal meridian supported by enameled metal discs, all mounted to painted black aluminum domed and stepped base.
There is a wedge slide at the base which can be loosened to adjust the meridian.
Dated 1930 (Persia, Istanbul, and Manchuria present) .
Very good condition for its age; paper losses, as shown, along with scratches to the original black painted base.
