Postmodern Leather “East Side” Sofa Designed by Ettore Sottsass for Knoll
Memphis-Style/Postmodern two-seat sofa designed in 1983 by Ettore Sottsass for Knoll for the “East Side” collection.
Original leather in two-tone green and black with an aluminum and steel base.
The two cylindrical bolsters are mounted to steel brackets on the top of the frame. This is an interesting design element that gives the piece a sculptural uniqueness in addition to added support.
Very good, vintage condition with light patina to the black cushions, a couple of spots of wear to the base, and one scuff to the back, as shown.
Foam is sound and no restoration work needs to be done to the piece.
