Pair of Vintage English Stoneware Slab Panels by Robin Welch
Striking pair of circa 1960s square bookends / decorative objects by Robin Welch (b. 1936 British), one of the most noted / respected English ceramicists. Slabs are composed of blue-glazed centers encased in stoneware. Borders have a dark brown stain, and appear wood-like.
There is some edge wear to one of the corners; what appears to be light crazing / scratches to the blue centers is original.
Impressed manufacturer’s mark ‘Robin Welch Pottery’ present to the reverse.
