Pair of Danish Modern Safari-Style Lounge Chairs by Borge Mogensen

These armless safari-style chairs were designed by Borge Mogensen as a variation on the A-frame chair of contemporaries, Hans Wegner and Bernt Petersen. These are comprised of oak frames and three separate cushions or chair (head rest, back and seat, respectively). There are leather buckled ‘saddles’ which hold the head rests in place. This design is a variation of similar A-frame lounge chairs designed both by Hans Wegner and Bernt Petersen. The headrest leather straps show wear and have been repaired.
