Monumental Scandinavian Modern Rosewood Floating Credenza by Ib Juul Christensen
This stunning wall-mounted cabinet / credenza designed by Ib Juul Christensen and manufactured by Arthur Soldvedt is composed of three sections, subdivided into six columns of drawers. Each vertical row contains three drawers (a shallow top drawer, slightly larger middle drawer and sizable bottom drawer) for a total of 18 drawers. The spectacularly book-matched fronts boast vivid grain and rich color. The mounting brackets on the back are original to the piece and are sound for future use. Secondary woods and back panels stamped ‘Made in Italy,’ while the dividing panels are marked ‘Made in Norway.’ Likely a custom piece, given its size, utilizing the highest quality materials available.
