Midcentury Three-Drawer Walnut Chest by Mel Smilow
Mel Smilow walnut chest designed in the 1950s for Smilow-Thielle. Composed of sculpted ‘bar’ pulls that support both the form and function of the piece, working beautifully with the minimal design and allowing the drawers to open smoothly and easily. Chest is supported by thin, tapered legs, which enhance the clean lines.
Newly refinished condition, few, small surfaces blemishes remain, as shown. Ebonized back is unfinished and shows wear. Overall, very good condition.
