Mid-Twentieth Century Illuminated “Plasti-Lite” Globe by George F. Cram

Vintage Cram’s “Plasti-Lite” Illuminated Globe by George F. Cram (ca. 1961, USA). Composed of paper gores over pasteboard supported by a gold painted metal half-meridian and base. Oceans tinted in an attractive deep teal with country designations in pink, yellow, orange, purple, and olive green.
Features an ‘on/off’ pull chain and is rewired and ready for use.
Dated ca. 1961 (presence of Ghana and Federation of Rhodesia – absence of Rwanda).
Excellent, vintage condition sans one blemish, as shown, and light, normal wear consistent with age/use.
Measures: H: 14” x L: 12” x D: 10.5”
Globe itself is 10.5″ in diameter. Base diameter is 6”.
